Quick Reference Guide to Jim Humble’s MMS Protocols

A simplified companion guide to Master Mineral Solution (MMS) Protocols created by Jim Humble, the pioneer behind MMS (Master Mineral Solution), developed a wide range of protocols designed to deliver chlorine dioxide safely and effectively to the body. These protocols range from basic introductory dosing to advanced strategies for addressing severe or chronic health conditions. This Quick Reference Guide is intended as a simplified snapshot for those already familiar with MMS and Humble’s work. It is not a replacement for the foundational books (Breakthrough: The Miracle Mineral Supplement of the 21st Century, Master Mineral Solution of the Third Millennium, etc.), nor a substitute for personal research and careful consideration.

What Is MMS?

MMS is a solution created by combining sodium chlorite (NaClO₂) with an acidic activator, like citric acid. When activated, it produces chlorine dioxide (ClO₂), a potent oxidizing agent that has been used for decades in water purification and sanitation.

Jim Humble discovered that when properly diluted and used with respect, chlorine dioxide supports the body in overcoming microbial overload, detoxification, and chronic conditions.

MMS Protocols: Quick Reference

Protocol Mix & Use Activated Drops Application Notes
1000 3 drops MMS + 3 drops activator in 4 oz water, every hour for 8 hours 3 per hour Foundational protocol; used for general detox, inflammation, infections. Start slow.
1000+ Protocol 1000 + add 3–5 drops DMSO per dose 3 per hour DMSO helps carry ClO₂ deeper into tissues; used in more serious situations
2000 6 drops MMS + 6 drops activator in 4 oz water, every hour for 8 hours 6 per hour Advanced protocol for life-threatening or persistent issues; increase slowly
3000 Topical: Mix MMS & activator 1:1, then apply to skin; follow with DMSO Varies Used for skin issues, external tumors, abscesses, infections
4000 (MMS2) Calcium Hypochlorite in capsules; take one capsule every 2 hrs Start with ¼ capsule Used alongside Protocol 1000 or 2000; potent oxidizer (different than MMS1)
5000 20 drops MMS + 20 drops activator in warm water bath 20 total Soak for 20–30 min; full-body exposure; avoid eyes/mucous membranes
6 & 7 Enemas: 10–20 drops MMS + activator in 1 qt warm water 10–20 Detox and support for colon-related issues; retention enemas recommended
8 Mouthwash: 6–10 drops in ½ cup water; swish for 1–2 min 6–10 Do not swallow; effective for gum disease, canker sores, and dental health
9 Eye spray: 1 drop MMS + 1 drop activator in ½ cup distilled water 1 drop Very diluted; spray lightly with eyes closed first; use extreme caution
10 (CDS) Use chlorine dioxide solution (CDS) instead of drop method CDS ml-based Measured in ml, not drops; cleaner taste, popular in Andreas Kalcker’s methods

Summary of Current Positions

Perspective Summary
Alternative Health Promotes cautious use for detox, infection, and chronic conditions
Mainstream Medicine Strongly discourages ingestion; supports limited topical/mouthwash use
Scientific Reviewers Acknowledge antimicrobial effects but call for more rigorous studies

Important Usage Notes

  • Activated Drops: Drops must be mixed in a clean, dry glass container and allowed to activate (typically 30–60 seconds) before adding water.
  • Water Quality: Always use purified or distilled water; chlorine in tap water may interfere with effectiveness.
  • Diet: Avoid Vitamin C, coffee, and antioxidants during protocols as they may neutralize chlorine dioxide.
  • Start Low: Begin with fewer drops (e.g., ½ drop, 1 drop) and increase gradually as tolerated.
  • DMSO (Dimethyl Sulfoxide): Used only with understanding of its powerful transdermal properties.
  • CDS (Chlorine Dioxide Solution): A pre-made gas-in-water solution preferred by many due to taste and stability; measured in ml, not drops.

Jim Humble’s protocols are the result of decades of work, field testing, and user feedback. Many claim to have undergone profound health transformations, but only those who approach the process with respect, caution, and commitment seem to benefit the most.

  1. Knocks out any crud before it becomes a full rhino-sinusitis. Seems to help detox from whatever is being sprayed in the skies (at night) when I awake with sore throat & congestion.

  2. Hello, I started the protocol sime 18 years ago, could not get through it due to the smell & taste, felt nauseous all day and even now the memories haunt me. I’d like try again S my body is infested by mold. Is there a more gentle, tasteless protocol?
Also, the website has so many products it’s VERY CONFUSING. I need a very sim, clear directions. Thank you.

    Sincerely,

    Shakti
